History

The arid/semi arid area hardly gets rainfall and experiences high temperatures. This is reflected in the attire of the local Borana women, veiled and dressed whole body in light garments completely oblivious of the heat. Other notable inhabitants of the region include the Samburu who in contrast, adorn scanty apparels completely ignoring the laws of decency.
