Ecosystem

Every year winged visitors apparently fly in and throng the Lake Bogoria Park. Perhaps you may find something un-African about the African spoonbill or sweet about the little bee eater. Some 140 species of birdlife become the primary attraction, among them the cape pigeon, the yellow billed stork and the water dikkop. In any case, the ugly warthog may just be the beautiful thing you ever saw when you decide you have had enough of birds. The other ugly cousin hyena is sure to be around as well as the African buffalo, cheetah the rare Greater Kudu, baboons and zebra among other many small mammals harmoniously co-existing in the park.

Climate

Lake Bogoria national park is a bed of roses given the wet and hot climate experienced at an altitude of 2000m. Daily temperatures of 22°C to 28°C with annual rainfall ranging from 1800-2000mm are the norm here.
