History

Being an outstretched area, a proper rendezvous should take you to Lake Bogoria National Reserve. When the reserve was opened in June 1983, it had a gaping 4000 feet valley, which is still there up to date. The slopes opposite it are covered in a tropical embrace and cuddled in the enviable breathtaking verdant lawns characteristic of the region. The Kalenjin and Nandi people with their rich culture and humbling hospitality are the natives. Undoubtedly and justifiably so, Lake Bogoria has for decades been a welcome source of livelihood for this Nilotic speaking community.
