Ecosystem

Birds proudly glide along the shores of the ocean in a kaleidoscope of frenzied motion and turtles breed amid the wide variety of plants, which date back to the dinosaur age in the park. More than 200 species of algae inhabit the region’s waters, providing nourishment and shelter to over 300 species of fish including the Barracuda spotted at Mida creek. Sea grass, coral reefs, mangroves and mudflats together with the even coastal sea line baffles many though fishing is still restricted. A vetinary doctor at Mida creek runs a special turtle clinic.
