Sitting on the floor of the Great Rift Valley , the reserve is one of the largest in Kenya extending to the neighboring Tanzania. It is of the unique features of the Rift Valley including the Lake Nakuru , Baringo , Bogoria as well as the great wildebeest migration, and plenty of bird species in a single enclose. The eighth wonder of the world: migration of wildebeests and the sassy view of the plains, the big cats hunting therein and an insight into the world famed culture of the Maasai are enough to bring you at par with the century old phenomenon. On a Masai mara Safari , you will enjoy the early morning and late afternoon game drives , Balloon Safaris and relaxing moments in the welcoming lodges and campsites. You will also have an opportunity to experience the unique Maasai culture in the nearby Maasai Cultural Villages. You can only see this between July to October. As for the rest of the year, you will be sure to have an extraordinary story to tell friends and family.


Access to Masai Mara

The park is at 265km south west of Nairobi on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. It borders the Serengeti national park in Tanzania sharing in the rich biodiverse environment. There are access roads leading to Sekenani Gate and other gates in the park. Excellent airstrips within and outside the park make mobility easier.
