Kenya Vacations
Attractions in Mt. Longonot
The sharp peaks of Mt. Longonot orient one to the gruesome task of scaling the rough
and groggy heights. Below the rivers that run parallel to abyss underneath and the
fauna are only comparable to Michelangelo’s Mona Lisa. You can also get to be a
Maasai for a day by
dressing up like them; and participating in their daily activities, thanks to their
hospitable nature. You can mull over the extinct volcano crater, catch the views
of Lake Naivasha and put
your camera to work with game such as the buffalos, gazelles and Impala for super
snapshots.
Rock climbing and game viewing are the most favorite. Swimming in the rivers below
or boat riding on the turbulent waters of the rivers below and hikes in and around
the crater forests are suitable for those who like to take risks.
Access to Mt. Longonot
The park is accessible via tarmac road from Nairobi (90Kms) but the terrain is not
smooth. A four-wheel drive vehicle would come in handy.
