Attractions

The Koobi Fora museum is home to the 45ft long crocodile fossils. The view of the beautiful Lake Turkana around the dry land surrounding it is simply magical. Flamingoes and pelicans and ducks are a gift to bird watchers. Shoreline game viewing is just perfect. The best time to visit the Sibiloi national park is at your own convenience given that the weather is constantly dry and hot through out. This is a remote isolated area which needs organized visitation yet remains attractive with its rich history of mans origin and its proximity to the Lake Turkana, Mt. Marsabit and the Shaba game reserve.

Access to Sibiloi

It is accessible by road at 800km from Nairobi via Lodwar or Marsabit. There are two airstrips at the park’s headquarters and the Koobi. A good road network exists there despite the park having only one gate.
