Kenya Vacations
History
In 1973 the park was officially granted national status by the Kenya government to protect the safety of archeological and
paleontological sites, and the natural habitat of thousands of wildlife. Apart from
these, the park has a wealth of affluent offshore areas specifically preserved for
the conservation of crocodiles and birds as well as breeding grounds for fish. Given
this diversity in wealth, the park has been named a UNESCO world heritage site.
