Kenya Vacations

Spend a few Dollars and witness more than 1.3 million wildebeest
and ¼ million zebra take part in the annual wildebeest migration
along the Mara River in Kenya’s Masai Mara. This migration that involves animals
fleeing drought in the south only to risk death in the overflowing river is tragic.
At the coast, the Tsavo National
park , the jumbo and the cat family find solace in the warm vegetation and
plenty of food to go around for everyone. Yonder, Taita Hills crafts the background
of the great Mount Kilimanjaro whilst the hot and cold Mzima
Springs attracts visitors and crocodiles for an afternoon bask. Inland,
in Kenya’s capital Nairobi
, is the
Nairobi National Park , Kenya’s first national park which hosts
the white rhino animal sanctuary and another, the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage that cares for baby
Jumbos. In close proximity is the Langata Giraffe Center just 3 miles away that hosts Rothschild
giraffes.
There being many places to visit, skipping the Aberdare Ranges National Park means missing out
on the black rhinos, leopards and antelopes that make the park
one of the few natural ecosystems left in the world. It would be worth noting that
the cradle of mankind, Lake Turkana
yet again sprung another surprise when archeologists unearthed a complete skeleton
of man dating 40,000 years. At the Kenyan coast, the Shimba Hills
National Reserve possesses Kenya’s solitary population of Sable antelope and other
wild game. The rest is for an astute visitor to discover!
