This is an annual 4 wheel drive event that is held in the national parks or in the wilderness of Kenyan forests. It attracts the corky visitors to a confrontation of nature against machines. This race dates back to 1989 when it was first initiated as a fundraising venture. If you join the competition, you will be required to race without degrading the environment around you. You only get to know about the details of the race a day before the competition so as to provide level ground for all competitors. The entrance charges are 400 Euros which go towards the maintenance of endangered wildlife. Every year, a new location is chosen sometimes outside the country. This event takes place around April every year but the sponsors may change the time and venue as it happened in the past when the competition was held in Scotland in 1994.
