Watching Tsavo Elephant and a short stint at the Luggards falls are enough exercise for your hearts muscles .The Yatta plateau, one of the longest in the world and the Mudanda rocky out crop; with a 1.6km walking path overlooking the dam below, is full with animals playing. Aruba dam was built in 1952 across the Voi River. It supplies the animals with water apart from other uses.


Access to Tsavo East

Tsavo east national park is located between Kenyan coast and the hinterland, southeast, on the plains of Yatta plateau. From Nairobi use the voi gate or Manyani gate; from Mombasa there`s a route though Bachuma gate. From Malindi there is a gate at Sala. Most roads North Coast have been well carpeted. There are airstrips strategically placed in the park, thirteen in the Northern part and sixteen in the Southern part.
