Meru Town Kenya

Meru town is currently the headquarters of Meru County and is located on the north east slopes of Mount Kenya about five miles north of the equator. From this town one can easily access both Samburu and Buffalo Springs National Reserves as well as Lewa conservancy.

Meru town is home to the Meru National Museum located at Rutundu log cabins some 20kms west of Meru the same place where Prince William proposed to the Duchess of Cambridge. More attractions in Meru include Vivvien Falls, Semwe Salt lick, Ithanguni, Lake Alice, Lake Ellis and Sacred Lake all found in Mt. Kenya National Park.
